Established in 1966 the Canadan ski resort Whistler lies at 2284 metres altitude in the British Columbia region of the Canadan Coast Range. With the highest lifts and ski slopes below 2500m Whistler ski area is not snow sure. Over 259 snow cannons ensure artificial Whistler snow making covers ?km of ski trails, which equates to around 14 of the ski slopes. The nearest airport transfer to Whistler (Canada) is Vancouver at a distance of 136km or approximately 150 minutes driving time. Whistler ski season runs from November to June.
